Artificial intelligence is seen practically everywhere now, including at the top of Google\u2019s recommended search results. If you don\u2019t want these generated results appearing whenever you perform a search, there are ways to turn them off. In fact, you might really<\/em> want them turned off\u2026 especially since they\u2019re found to be wrong, depending on where the AI pulls this information from.<\/p>\n

While you could use everyone\u2019s favorite four-letter expletive in front of your search query, there are better ways to ensure you remove Google\u2019s AI overviews without creating a NSFW situation for yourself.<\/p>\n

Remove Google\u2019s AI Overview from the Results Page<\/h2>\n

  1. First, you can specify that you want to search in the Web category<\/strong>. This option is the simplest route to removing AI from your search results.<\/li>\n
  2. Add –ai<\/strong> to your search, which will remove any AI-generated options.<\/li>\n
  3. Browser extensions are available for Chromium-based browsers (such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, and others) and Firefox.\n

    • a. Before installing anything on a work device, make sure your IT provider approves it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
