There Are Plenty of Shortcuts Available in QuickBooks<\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s list some shortcuts you can use to accomplish various things.<\/p>\n

Working in Forms and Transactions<\/h3>\n

Several shortcuts can help you work more efficiently while you are creating forms and recording transactions.<\/p>\n

  • Moving between pages within forms and reports is simple: press Page Up<\/strong> or Page Down<\/strong>, accordingly.<\/li>\n
  • You can record transactions by pressing Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Adding or deleting transaction lines is as simple as pressing Ctrl + Insert\/Delete.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Moving between transaction lines can be accomplished by pressing the Up and Down arrow keys.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • You can copy and paste transaction lines by highlighting the appropriate transaction, pressing Ctrl + Alt + Y<\/strong>, then navigating to an empty line and pressing Ctrl + Alt + V<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Wherever there\u2019s a dropdown menu, you can open it by pressing Ctrl + L<\/strong> while the menu is highlighted. Once the appropriate option is selected, you can add it to your form by pressing Ctrl + U<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • You can also have QuickBooks \u201cmemorize\u201d (or save for later use) forms and their transactions. To do so, press Ctrl + M<\/strong>.\n

    • Accessing these memories is as easy as pressing Ctrl + T<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Navigating the App<\/h3>\n

      QuickBooks also offers quick and easy ways to get around the app itself. For instance:<\/p>\n

      • F1<\/strong> pulls up the Help window.<\/li>\n
      • Press Ctrl + 1<\/strong> to search for specific transactions, invoices, and other information in the Find Transaction window.<\/li>\n
      • Similarly, the Search window, which helps you find customers and accounts, is accessible by pressing Ctrl + 2<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
